One of the many advantages of Piano & Guitar Institute is the fact that we all teach the same way. We have developed a fantastic team approach to providing individualized lessons. Every teacher is trained extensively on our system and how the curriculum works. Every teacher brings their own personality to the studio, but we all mark the music the same way. This allows for easy transition if a families' schedule changes and a new permanent time is needed, or if a substitute teacher is required for any reason. The student will receive the same lesson. Our goal then is to pair your child with the right personality! Below you can read a bit about our staff.
Mr. K - the Tigger studio. I love to vacation in N'awlins (New Orleans) the music is fantastic and the food is even better. My favorite movie is Titanic, favorite band is Iron Maiden, and favorite musical work is the opera Carmen by George Bizet. I prefer dogs over cats and the Rolling Stones over the Beatles.
Mrs. K - Always around but seldom seen. If you are lucky enough to see her make sure you say hi and Go Browns! Mrs. Kraus always helps with CMAS JAM! and the recitals in June. In her down time she plays with her little people who aren't so little, and any outdoor activity. Since Mrs. Kraus likes country music, she can live without the Beatles and the Stones.
Mr. E - You will find him in the original "Star Wars" studio at the Fort Collins school. He prefers hand drawn cartoons like Calvin and Hobbs, The Far Side, The Peanuts, and Fantasia. He enjoys reading mostly non-fiction books studying music theory and composition as well as biographies. His favorite composer is Mozart. In his spare time, he swims, does yoga, triathlons, and snow shoeing. Q: Beatles or Rolling Stones? A: Van Halen.
Miss H - the puppy dog studio. My favorite cartoon is Bob's Burgers, favorite book is The Night Circus, by Erin Morgenstern, and my two favorite movies are Garden State and Safety Not Guaranteed. My favorite food is Breakfast, (or is that a meal?), and my favorite color is teal. My favorite composer is Chopin and my favorite musical work is Schumann's Piano Concerto in A minor. I prefer the Beatles over the Stones.

Miss O - You will find her in the studio with all the panda bears. She likes to spend her spare time in the mountains where she enjoys a plethora of activities like camping, dirt bike riding, skiing, and much more. She also enjoys reading books of any type from science fiction and fantasy to philosophy of the classical type; that being said, J.R.R. Tolkien is her favorite author.
Miss K - the jungle studio. My favorite place to vacation is Costa Rica, my favorite movie is The Big Lebowski, and my favorite food is cheese. In my spare time I like to write my own music and prefer to listen to Gershwin. My favorite color is purple and I like the Beatles over the Stones.

Mr. W - You will find him in the studio with banjos and fiddles hanging on the wall -- don't worry, they are just for show. He spends his days practicing Yoga, exploring town and coffee shops by bicycle, and hiking in those pretty Rocky Mountains. One of the coolest songs ever is Blowin' in the Wind by Bob Dylan. Some of the most exciting composers are Beethoven, Liszt, and Abba. Favorite food is most kinds of Indian food but a burrito will do in a pinch.
